The Gardens Part 2

☕ Coffee, Pie & Surprise

Part 9: Lanterns Over the Fountain

Nobody knew who had organized the scavenger hunt.

That alone made everyone want to solve it first.

By sunset, clues had begun appearing everywhere.

Folded into mailboxes.

Tucked beneath flowerpots.

Pinned to the greenhouse bulletin board.

One had somehow ended up inside a bag of coffee beans.

Mateo was still in awe about that one!!

The hunt carried people all over The Gardens…Past the herb beds.Through the greenhouse.

Around the willow tree.

Behind the café.

Back through the courtyard. Then around the fountain….

Then away from the fountain….Then somehow back to the fountain again.

By the seventh clue, nobody seemed particularly worried about winning anymore.

The clues gave everyone permission to wander. To talk.To laugh. To linger.Which had secretly been the point all along.

Theo and Maren disappeared at least twice.Their excuse changed both times.“We were looking for the next clue.”“No, you weren’t.”Eloise replied.“How do you know?”“Because the clue was attached to your jacket.”Maren nearly walked into a hydrangea bush trying to hide her laughter.

As the sky deepened from blue to violet, lanterns began glowing one by one around the courtyard. Golden pools of light shimmered across pathways and flowerbeds.

Music drifted out from the café patio.

The whole neighborhood was wrapped in a soft autumn glow.

The final clue appeared just as the last bit of sunlight disappeared.

Return to where the story began.

That sent everybody in the same direction.

Toward the fountain.

One by one the residents gathered.

Talking.

Laughing.

Looking around.

Trying to figure out what they were supposed to find.

Lark looked beneath a planter.

Finch checked the fountain edge.

Ravi crossed his arms.“There has to be something.”

“There usually is, in a scavneger hunt!”Iris agreed.

Theo looked around the courtyard.“So what are we looking for?”

Nobody knew.

The fountain bubbled quietly.

Lanterns swayed overhead.

A breeze stirred the ivy climbing the walls.

Then the music began.Just a single note. The courtyard fell still.

Well, Not completely….Someone did drop a cookie.

Eloise whispered “I knew it!!”

People turned.

People listened.

Violet stood on the edge of the fountain.

Cello in hand.

Lantern light flickering around her.

The same fountain she’d spent years avoiding.

The same fountain everybody had spent days talking about.

She drew the bow across the strings.

The sound floated through The Gardens.

Warm.

Rich.

Familiar…..It was like hearing your favorite story told again and again.

Nobody spoke.

The melody wound its way through the courtyard.

Past flowerbeds.

Past lanterns.

Past coffee cups abandoned on tables.

Theo smiled immediately when he saw his sister Violet!!

Maren sat down on the fountain edge to listen.

Even Ravi stopped trying to solve things for five whole minutes.

A personal record.

The song continued.

Beside Violet stood Lucinda.

At first she simply listened.

One hand resting against the fountain.

Dark curls catching the lantern light.

Completely still for once.

Then Violet heard something.

Lucinda was humming.Softly.Without thinking.

The note appeared.

Then another.

Then another.

Lucinda stopped.

Her eyes widened.

“What?”Theo called from the crowd.

Lucinda looked genuinely startled.

“I know this song.”

An expectant hush settled over the courtyard.

Violet played the melody again…Slower this time…Giving it room.

Lucinda laughed nervously.

Shook her head.

Then listened.

And little pieces started returning.

A stage.

A spotlight.

Velvet curtains.

Flowers tossed from an audience.

People singing along.

Applause.

The memories didn’t arrive in order. They arrived as scattered starry pictures and moments in Lucinda’s mind.

Tiny pieces of something bigger…

Lucinda pressed a hand to her chest.

“Oh.”The word escaped before she could stop it.

For a moment she looked younger.Softer.Vulnerable.Then she looked at Violet.

Violet simply smiled her kind smile. The one that made Lucinda feel like she is finally home, again and again!! And that made everything easier.

“Go on.”Violet said quietly.

“What if I’m terrible?”

“You aren’t.”

“What if I am?”

“You’ll still have an audience.”

A laugh escaped her.

Then Lucinda took a breath. And sang.

The first few notes trembled.

The second few didn’t.

By the end of the first verse something had unlocked.

Not just the memory, but the joy of it!!

The entire courtyard was ablaze with sound, lights and love!

Theo joined in on guitar. Although nobody had asked him to.

He simply did.

Maren laughed.Then began singing too.

Mateo joined.Poorly.

Eloise joined.Loudly.

Soon half of The Gardens was singing.

The other half was making up words.

Nobody cared.

The whole thing fell gloriously apart.

People missed verses….Repeated choruses….Forgot lyrics…Started laughing halfway through.And somehow…It became even better!!

At some point Eloise started crying.

“You’re emotional.”Iris told her.

“I’m old.”

“That’s not the same thing.”

“It is tonight.”

The song finally came to an end beneath a sky full of lantern light..Everyone just sat there smiling.

The fountain whispered. The lanterns danced overhead.Someone handed Mateo a napkin because apparently he was very emotional too.

Eventually applause arrived.

Warm.Loud.Wholehearted.

Lucinda drank it in.

Half embarrassed.Half delighted. The expression on her face made Violet’s heart ache in the nicest way.

It was like watching someone find a missing piece of themselves.

The evening lasted a little longer after that.

People talked.Shared cookies.Told stories.Nobody seemed too eager to leave.

One by one….Eventually they did.

Only a few lanterns remained glowing over the courtyard.

The fountain hummed softly.

A stolen rose from a few nights ago sat in a glass jar beside Mateo’s café window.

Violet and Lucinda sat together on the edge of the fountain.Watching the last lights go out.

For a while neither spoke. Then Lucinda looked up at the stars and said.“I think I used to love singing.”Violet smiled.“I think you still do.”Lucinda laughed softly.“Maybe.”

A comfortable silence settled between them. The kind that no longer needed filling. The Gardens slept peacefully around them.

A Home.

Then Lucinda suddenly reached into her coat pocket.Violet groaned immediately.“Oh no.”

“What?”

“You found something?”

Lucinda grinned.

“Maybe.”“

Lucinda explains”“It’s a map.”

Of course it was!!

Violet shook her head and smiled…Knowing that somewhere beyond the next path, the next mystery, and behind the next wonderfully terrible idea…Another story was already waiting for the both of them. 🌹☕🎻👻✨

The Gardens Part 2

☕ Coffee, Pie & Surprise

Part Eight: Tiny Miracles

The idea started on a Tuesday.

Which was unfortunate.

Most bad ideas seemed to start on Tuesdays.

At least according to Violet.

Lucinda disagreed.

She insisted Tuesdays were full of possibility.”Nobody expects anything from a Tuesday.”

“That’s because it’s Tuesday.”

“Exactly!”Lucinda pointed triumphantly.

“A perfect disguise…”

Violet had absolutely no idea what that meant.

At this point she was getting used to it.

The two ghosts sat on the edge of the fountain watching the afternoon unfold around them. The Gardens had settled back into its usual rhythm.

Coffee cups moved in and out of the Greenhouse Café.

People came and went.

The wind carried the scent of rosemary and damp earthy flowers throughout the courtyard.

Everything felt peaceful.Which lasted approximately six minutes.

Lucinda suddenly sat upright.

“Oh.”Violet sighed.”What now?”

“Look.”Lucinda pointed toward the herb garden.Iris stood beside a row of lavender, frowning at something in her hands.

“What am I looking at?”

“She’s worried.”

Violet looked closer.”How do you know?”

“Because she keeps pretending she isn’t.”

That answer sat with Violet for a moment.Because Lucinda was right.Iris smiled and waved at passing residents. Then immediately returned to frowning at the same plant.

“Oh.”Violet nodded.”I see it.”

“Of course you do.”

“What does that mean?”

Lucinda smiled.”You notice everything.”

For some reason that made Violet unexpectedly shy.

Across the courtyard, Theo was helping Maren carry chairs after a music gathering.

Neither seemed particularly focused on the chairs.

Lucinda followed Violet’s gaze.

“There they go again.”

“What?”

“The long conversations.”

“They like each other.”

“I know.”

“So why are you saying it like it’s a crime?”

Lucinda looked horrified….”Because it’s taking forever.”
Violet laughed.”They just met.”

“I came out of a fountain three days ago.”

“And?”

“It feels like twenty years.”

That made absolutely no sense.Yet Violet understood her perfectly.

As the afternoon drifted onward, A little later, Iris found a bundle of fresh lavender tied with golden ribbon waiting beside her garden bench.

No note.

No explanation.

Just lavender.

She smiled immediately.

Across the courtyard, Lucinda looked very pleased with herself.

“You left that there.”

“Maybe.”

“You definitely left that there.”

“I liked the ribbon.”

Violet shook her head. But she still was smiling.

The next day Mateo discovered a basket of apples sitting outside the café before sunrise.

Perfect apples.

Bright red.

Enough for several pies.

He spent the entire morning trying to figure out who left them.

Lucinda denied involvement.….Repeatedly…..But the fact that she denied it before anyone actually accused her wasn’t helping her case.

Ravi noticed that too.”You’re suspicious.”

Lucinda looked playfully offended.”That’s hurtful.”

“You brought evidence against yourself before the investigation even started.”

“Details, details…..” She purred.

Violet nearly choked on her coffee.Little by little The Gardens changed.

Not dramatically…Just slightly… In all the most important ways. A form of growing .The way gardens tend to do.

The way friendships do too!!

A note appeared in someone’s mailbox at exactly the moment they needed encouragement.

A favorite flower showed up on a doorstep.

A forgotten birthday somehow became the celebration it deserved .

Nobody knew how these things happened.

Well.Almost nobody.

One evening, Lucinda and Violet sat beneath the willow tree watching lanterns flicker to life across the courtyard.

The sky had turned soft lavender.

Music drifted from the café patio.

The whole neighborhood was glowing.

Lucinda rested her head against the tree trunk.

“They’re lovely.”

Violet followed her gaze.To Theo

.To Maren.

To Iris.

To Eloise.

Then to Mateo laughing with a customer.

To all of them.”

They really are!!” Violet agreed softly.

For a moment neither spoke

.The silence felt warm.

Comfortable.

Like Home.

Then Lucinda sat up right and straightened her posture while still looking atound lovingly.

A very dangerous sign.

“I have another idea.”

Violet groaned playfully.”Of course you do.”

“It involves lanterns.”

“No.”

“And maybe a scavenger hunt.”

“No.”

“And possibly twenty-seven handwritten clues.”

Violet stared.”Twenty-seven?”

Lucinda smiled.”I haven’t finished planning yet.”

The best part was that Violet could already feel herself saying yes.🌹☕👻❤️✨

The Gardens Part 2

☕ Coffee, Pie & Surprise

Part Seven: A Place at the Table

The excitement over the missing roses lasted most of the morning.

By lunchtime, the story had developed several new versions.

In one, Lucinda had stolen a wheelbarrow full of flowers and fled into the woods.

In another, the roses had willingly followed her.

The second theory had become Mateo’s favorite.

“I’ve worked with flowers long enough to know they make choices.”

“They absolutely do not.”Ravi said.

Mateo shrugged.“Agree to disagree.”

Across the café, Finch was still mourning. Not as dramatically…..But, just enough to make everyone still laugh about the incident.

Every fifteen minutes he wandered over to a window and stared thoughtfully toward the rose garden

.Lark had stopped asking questions…

The Greenhouse Café hummed with the usual afternoon rhythms.

Coffee.

Music.

People coming and going.

The gentle feeling that nobody was ever really in a hurry.

Lucinda liked that.

A lot.

She’d spent most of the day drifting from table to table.Talking with whoever happened to be sitting nearby.

Listening to the stories.

Collecting names.

Learning new things.

By three o’clock she had ended up helping Iris sort herbs.

“This one?”

“Lavender.”Iris replied.

“And this one?”

“Rosemary.”

“And this one?”

Iris smiled.“That’s mint.”

Lucinda stared at it.

“Why does it smell so judgmental?” Iris tried not to giggle…Then she completely failed and gave a little snortle too.

Across the room, Violet smiled over the rim of her coffee cup.Ever since arriving, Lucinda had approached life with the enthusiasm of someone who had just discovered the world existed.

Coffee fascinated her.

Plants fascinated her.

Cats fascinated her.

A hummingbird had nearly stopped café operations entirely because Lucinda discovered it.

She was genuinely delighted….By everything!!

The thing that surprised Violet most was how quickly Lucinda had become part of The Gardens. She shines like a new piece of a puzzle nobody realized was missing.

Eloise adored her.

Mateo had started setting aside coffee for her already.

Iris looked genuinely pleased every time Lucinda wandered into her herb garden.

Even Ravi had stopped introducing her as “the fountain ghost.”Now she was just Lucinda.Which felt important somehow.

Outside, Theo sat beneath the willow tree tuning his guitar.

Maren sat nearby pretending to read.

Every few minutes one of them would say something. The other would smile. Then both would return to their respective activities.Neither seemed aware of how obvious they were.

Lucinda watched them through the café window.“Do they know?”Violet followed her gaze.

“No.”

“Interesting.”

“What?”

“They’re behaving like people at the end of a romantic comedy.”Violet smiled.“They’ve only known each other for a couple of weeks.”

“Then they’re behind schedule.”That answer made absolutely no sense.Yet somehow Violet understood exactly what Lucinda meant.

Outside, Theo said something.Maren laughed. The sound drifted through the open café window.

Lucinda smiled.“I like them.”

“So do I.”

Neither ghost looked away from the window.A comfortable silence settled between them. The kind that no longer needed filling.

The Gardens stretched lazily through the afternoon around them.

Somebody watered flowers.

Somebody practiced piano

.Somebody forgot their mail and had to come back for it……Twice.

Life happened quietly here.In small moments.

Lucinda rested her chin in her hand.“We should help.”Violet looked over.Immediately suspicious.“Help who?”

“Everybody.”

“Oh no.”

“What?”

“I know that look.”

“You do not.”

“I absolutely do.”

Lucinda smiled into her coffee mug.The smile alone was enough to cause trouble.

“We’re in a magical neighborhood.”

“Yes.”

“We’re ghosts.”

“Also yes.”

“We should be doing more.”

Violet groaned softly.“There it is.”

“What?”

“The bad idea.”

“It isn’t a bad idea.”

“What is it then?”

Lucinda looked around the courtyard.

At Theo.

At Maren.

At Iris.

At Eloise feeding birds.

At Mateo carrying muffins to a table that hadn’t ordered them.

Then she smiled.

“A community project.”

Violet laughed so hard coffee nearly went up her nose.

The sound oh her choking on her coffee startled a nearby pigeon.

“A community project?”

“Exactly!!”
Lucinda announced proudly.

“We’re ghosts.”

“We’re helpful ghosts.”

“We stole roses.”

“A helpful beginning.”

The laughter came easier now.It seemed to live closer to the surface these days.

Lucinda noticed Violet’s eyes dancing with the thoughts of helping now..Of course she noticed. She noticed everything!!

The afternoon sunlight slipped through the ivy.Inside, the café glowed with warmth and conversation.

Somewhere nearby, Iris was explaining the difference between rosemary and sage while Mateo argued passionately with a new muffin recipe.

Lucinda looked around.

Really looked.

Her expression softened.

The café.

The courtyard.

The residents.

The ghosts.

All of it.

“I think I belong here.”The words escaped so quietly that Violet almost missed them.

For a moment neither spoke.

Then Violet smiled.

A small one.

A real one.

“I think you do too.”

The answer seemed to settle something.

Not completely…..Yet, just enough.

A breeze drifted through the open windows.

The fountain sparkled outside.

The afternoon was stretched ahead of them.

Then…

Lucinda sat up suddenly.“I’ve had another idea!!!”

Violet sighed.

“Of course you have.”

And deep down, Violet was honestly looking forward to hearing it.🌹☕👻❤️✨

The Gardens Part 2

☕ Coffee, Pie & Surprise

Part Six: The Case of the Missing Roses

The first person to notice was Finch. Which was unfortunate. Because Finch noticed everything.

The morning sun had barely climbed above the greenhouse when he stopped in the middle of the path and stared at the rose garden.

A watering can hung from one hand.

A gardening glove dangled from the other….He didn’t move…He didn’t blink….He simply stood there.

Staring.

A few moments later, he cleared his throat.“Lark.”

No answer.

“Lark.”

Still nothing.

A deeper breath.

“LARK.”

The response came almost immediately.“What?”

“Get over here.”

The tone alone was enough.Within seconds, his twin appeared from behind the greenhouse carrying pruning shears and looking mildly concerned.

“What happened?”

Finch pointed.

Lark followed his finger.

The two gardeners stood side by side for a moment.

Silent.

Studying the roses.

Then Lark started counting…

Once.

Twice.

A suspicious frown appeared.“Oh.”Finch nodded.“Exactly!”

“There were thirty-seven.”

“I know.”

“There are thirty-four!!

“I KNOW.”

Both men looked personally offended.A cardinal landed nearby.Looked at the twins. Looked at the roses. Then wisely flew away.

By breakfast, half of The Gardens knew about the missing flowers. No one knew how the information spread so quickly.

It simply did. It always did….The Gardens had its own methods of spreading the news.
Good old fashioned word of mouth!!

Maren learned about the mystery while waiting for coffee.

Eloise heard before she’d finished buttering her toast.

Iris somehow knew before she even arrived at the café.
“Something just felt off!!” She said.

By nine o’clock, the missing roses were the most important topic in the neighborhood.

The Greenhouse Café buzzed with theories.

“Maybe it was deer.”

“We don’t have deer in the courtyard.”

“You don’t know where deer go at night.”

Mateo nearly dropped a coffee mug.

“A ghost deer?”

“Now we’re talking!!.”

“No we’re not.”Ravi groaned.

“Ghost deer would leave ghost footprints.”Zadie pointed out.

“What do ghost footprints look like?”

“Don’t ask questions you’re not prepared to have answered.”

The conversation immediately became
more ridiculous with wild conspiracies as the neighbors went on.

Theo was laughing.

Maren was laughing.

Even Eloise looked delighted.“This is the most excitement we’ve had all month!!”
She mused.

“Lucinda came out of a fountain yesterday.”Mateo offered.

“Precisely.what i was thinking too…”Eloise replied.

At a nearby table, Lucinda sat with a coffee.

A second coffee.

Maybe it was her third coffee she wondered….Nobody had been counting.

Except Mateo.

Mateo had absolutely been counting.“You’ve had four!!”

Lucinda looked genuinely shocked.

“Only four?”

Mateo pointed at her.

“That kind of attitude is why I started counting.”

Across the room, Violet laughed into her tea cup trying to hide her
face and her guilt…
That was when Ravi noticed something. His eyes moved from Lucinda…To Violet…Then back again. Both women looked entirely too innocent!!

Nobody looked that innocent naturally.

Ravi sat up.“Oh no.”

Maren looked over.

“What?”

Ravi pointed.

“Those two know something.”

The café fell silent.

Every head turned.

Lucinda blinked slowly.

Violet still found her tea fascinating.Theo stared.“Wait.”A slow smile spread across his face.“No….”

Lucinda took a sip of coffee.

Maren noticed the rose tucked into Violet’s hair. Then at the matching bloom sitting beside Lucinda’s coffee cup.

“Oh my God.”Eloise gasped.“You didn’t.”

The grin on Lucinda’s face answered before she did.

Mateo actually leaned against the counter for support.

“The roses?”

“The roses….”Maren repeated.

Theo laughed so hard he had to put down his mug.

“You two stole the roses!!”

Lucinda held up one finger.“That’s a very strong word.”

“You stole them!!”

“They seemed interested in seeing more of the neighborhood.”

Lark looked horrified.“You kidnapped my flowers.”

“I borrowed their company.”

“You clipped them.”

“Technicalities.”

Violet covered her face.

The entire café exploded.Questions came from everywhere.

“When?”

“Last night.”

“Why?”

Lucinda looked thoughtful.“We were walking.”

“We know that.”

“There were roses.”

“We know THAT.”

Lucinda shrugged.“It felt right.”

Nobody had a response for that.

Meanwhile, Violet had given up pretending to be innocent.

Her smile kept escaping… Every time she looked at Lucinda she smiled..

.Every time she remembered standing beneath the lanterns last night she smiled

.Every time she remembered laughing so hard she nearly dropped the forbidden roses..She smiled even more…

Theo caught it immediately.

There was that big brother look.

The one Violet knew all too well.

“Oh.”Violet pointed at him.“Don’t.”

“I didn’t say anything.”

“You were about to!!”

Theo looked incredibly pleased with himself.“I wasn’t.” But shebknew better and he absolutely was about to tell everyone Violet had a new crush on Lucinda!!.

The conversation drifted on.

Coffee appeared.

More coffee appeared.

Eloise somehow acquired a yet another “second” pastry.

The mystery was solved!! Yet, the gardeners remained mildly traumatized as a community
… In all the best ways, of course!!

Closer together than they’ve ever been!!

And Lucinda Fox became the first resident in The Gardens history to be officially accused of floral mischief before living there a full twenty-four hour
s!!!

By late morning, the excitement had settled into stories. The kind people would be repeating for months.

Maybe years.

Remember when the ghost came out of the fountain?

Remember when she stole the roses?

Remember how Finch looked like he’d been personally betrayed over three flowers?

Outside, sunlight washed across the courtyard.

The fountain sparkled.

The roses swayed gently in the breeze.

And seated near the café window, Violet found herself smiling for no reason at all.

Or at least no reason she was willing to admit out loud. 🌹☕❤️👻✨

The Gardens Part 2

☕ Coffee, Pie & Surprise

Part Five: Three Roses

The café finally emptied sometime after midnight.

Not all at once.

Slowly…The way good evenings end.

One conversation finished and another followed people out the door.

Chairs scraped across the floor. Coffee cups gathered beside the sink.

Mateo wrapped leftover pie in foil while Eloise tried convincing him she needed four slices for “medical reasons.”

Nobody believed her.

Not even Eloise, herself… But she still got the extra slices anyway.

Outside, the courtyard glowed with lantern light.

The fountain sparkled quietly to itself…As if it hadn’t spent the evening throwing everyone’s lives into this new chaos.

Violet lingered near the doorway watching people drift home.Theo was stacking patio chairs.Maren was still talking to him.Neither seemed in much of a hurry.Violet smiled. Some things were becoming very obvious.

“Your brother looks happy.”Lucinda’s voice appeared beside her.

Warm.

Unexpected.

Like she’d simply wandered into the thought Violet was already having.

Violet watched Theo laugh at something Maren had said.

“He does.”

“It’s nice.”

“It is.”

For a few moments they stood together in comfortable silence.

The Gardens settling around them. The fountain humming softly somewhere in the distance.

A breeze carrying the scent of rosemary and autumn leaves through the courtyard.

Then Lucinda suddenly pushed herself away from the doorframe.

“Come on.”

Violet looked over.“Come on where?”

Lucinda considered this.“You know, that’s an excellent question.”

“That’s not encouraging.”

“It wasn’t meant to be.”

Violet laughed despite herself

Lucinda pointed…

“There.”

“What?”

“That.”

“What?”

“That thing where you laugh before you remember you’re trying to be sensible.”

Violet rolled her eyes.“You’ve known me for six hours.”

“It’s been a very productive six hours.”

And before Violet could come up with a reply, Lucinda started to saunder down the lantern-lit path behind the greenhouse. Not quickly and surely with no purpose.Just wandering.

Violet followed.

Mostly because she wanted to know what happened next….

The Gardens felt different after midnight.

The café lights faded behind them.

The paths grew quieter.

Crickets hummed somewhere near the herb beds.

Moonlight silvered the edges of the leaves….The whole place felt dreamlike.

Lucinda stopped beside a wind chime.Touched it gently.Waited for it to sing.

“That’s lovely.”

“It’s a wind chime.”

“I can see that.”

They kept walking.A few minutes later Lucinda crouched down beside a sleepy orange cat perched on a stone wall. The cat blinked at her.Lucinda blinked back. The cat left.

Violet laughed.“I think you offended him.”

“I was being charming.”

“You were staring.”

“There is a difference.”The cat clearly disagreed.

By the time they reached the rose garden, Violet had stopped wondering where they were going. It turned out not having a destination was surprisingly relaxing.

The rose bushes climbed over old iron arches, heavy with late blooms.Deep red roses curled among glossy leaves.

Moonlight caught on the petals.

Everything smelled rich and sweet.

Lucinda stopped walking.

Violet immediately sighed.“Oh no.”

Lucinda looked innocent.

A terrible sign.“

They’re beautiful.”

“They belong to Lark and Finch.”

“I know….”

The answer was much too cheerful.

Violet followed her .“Lucinda?.”

Lucinda wandered closer to the roses.

“What?”

“Don’t.”

“Don’t what?”

“Whatever you’re about to do.”

Lucinda studied a rose thoughtfully.“I haven’t decided yet.”

“That’s somehow worse.”

A laugh escaped her.

She couldn’t help it.

Lucinda turned…Smiling.“There you are again.”

“What?”

“You keep having fun.”

Violet shook her head.“You make it sound contagious.”

“Maybe it is.”

The answer settled somewhere unexpectedly warm. Lucinda reached toward one of the blooms.

Stopped.

Looked at it.Looked at another. Then another.“I’m taking three.”

“Of course you are.”

“One felt rude.”

Violet laughed.“One felt rude?”

“Too lonely.”She pointed.“Two was acceptable.”

Another point.

“But then this one got left out.”The third rose sat slightly apart from the others.

Violet stared at her.“You’re assigning feelings to flowers.”

“I’m assigning observations.”

“You are impossible.”

“According to several people.”

Carefully, almost reverently, Lucinda clipped the roses.One.Two.Three.

For a moment she simply stood there admiring them. As pleased as if she’d discovered buried treasure. Then she handed one to Violet.

Violet blushed.“What am I supposed to do with this?”

“I don’t know.”

The answer was immediate, honest and completely unhelpful.“I just thought you’d like it.”Something about that landed differently. No more teasing. Not a dramatic speech.Just a simple thought.Violet took the rose.“Thank you.”Lucinda smiled. The real smile again. The one that slipped out when she wasn’t trying.

They wandered back through the sleeping gardens carrying their stolen flowers.Talking about nothing important.

Coffee.

Music.

Whether ghosts could get cold.

Whether the fountain had always been dramatic or if that was a recent development.

The conversation drifted wherever it wanted.Neither seemed interested in steering it.Near the fountain, they paused.Lantern light shimmered across the water. The roses glowed dark red beneath the moon.Violet looked down at the flower in her hand. Then at Lucinda.“You know Lark and Finch are going to notice.”

“Oh, definitely.”

“Immediately.”

“Without question.”

A pause.

“Want to see how long it takes?”

Violet laughed.A bright, effortless laugh that echoed across the courtyard. And before either of them realized it, they were walking again.

Talking.

Laughing.

Going nowhere in particular.

.Exactly where they wanted to be.🌹❤️👻✨

The Gardens Part 2

☕ Coffee, Pie & Surprise

Part Four: The Ghost on the Beam

As the evening stretched on, the Greenhouse Café began to settle into that cozy, in-between feeling it always seemed to find after dark.

The pie plates were mostly empty.

Coffee cups collected near elbows and notebooks.

The candles burned lower.

Outside, lantern light spilled across the pathways like liquid gold.

Nobody seemed particularly interested in leaving.

Every time someone stood up to go, another conversation started.

At one point Eloise began telling a story about accidentally adopting a ghost sometime in the late eighties….Nobody knew if she’d actually adopted a ghost..Nobody knew if she’d actually meant the eighties.

Nobody interrupted her anyway.

It was a wonderful story…Mostly because she kept changing details
whilst Maren sat listening beside Theo.

Across the room, Lucinda Fox had somehow become part of every conversation at once…A talent Maren found both impressive and slightly terrifying.

“I once met a woman who married the wrong twin.”Lucinda said.

“There were twins involved?”Iris asked.

“There were four twins involved.”

The entire table stared…Eloise blinked hard.“That’s impossible.”

Lucinda took a long sip of coffee.

“That’s what made it memorable.”

Mateo laughed so hard he nearly dropped a spoon.

Meanwhile, above everyone’s heads, Violet sat comfortably atop one of the greenhouse beams. It had always been one of her favorite places.

Nobody bothered her up there.

She could listen to conversations.Watch people.

Enjoying the noise without having to be part of it.

Tonight she found herself smiling more than usual…The Gardens felt happy. Perhaps more complete with Lucinda here .. But there really isn’t a better way to put it than …. Happy.

The kind of happiness that arrives unexpectedly and then decides to stay for dessert and it changes you. It just changes everything.

The jukebox in the corner caught Lucinda’s attention.“Oh.”The ghost stood.“What is that?”Theo looked over.“The jukebox.”

“It looks annoyed.”

The room immediately burst into laughter.

“It always acts annoyed.”Ravi said.

Lucinda wandered over to inspect it.

“Does it work?”

“When it wants to.”

“What does that mean?”

“No one knows.”

The answer appeared to offend Lucinda personally. She pressed a button.Nothing happened. She pressed another.Nothing.A third.Still nothing.

Lucinda folded her arms.“I don’t appreciate being mocked by furniture.”

As if determined to prove her wrong, the jukebox suddenly roared to life.

Music exploded into the room.

The residents laughed.

The jukebox seemed pleased with itself.

“Oh that’s rude.”Lucinda informed it.

Violet laughed.

A real laugh this time.

Bright and warm and impossible to stop.

Lucinda’s head immediately turned upward.

Caught.

For one ridiculous second Violet considered pretending she hadn’t laughed. The idea lasted approximately half a second.

Lucinda smiled. Not dramatically, but just enough.

The kind of smile that said:I see you.

Little by little, the evening began winding down.Mateo wiped tables.Iris gathered empty mugs. The record ended. Then another. Then another. The chatter softened.People moved slower.Nobody seemed eager for the night to end.

Lucinda lingered near the café doorway.Watching people.Taking everything in.The plants. The lanterns. The laughter. The warmth. As if she were trying to memorize it.

Then she looked up.

Directly at Violet.

“Do you always stay up there?”

Violet tilted her head.

“Sometimes.”

“That sounds lonely.”

The answer was so simple that Violet wasn’t sure what to do with it.

No teasing.No jokes.No flirting.Just honest observation.She glanced around the room.At Theo.

At Maren.

At Eloise.

At all the people she’d quietly kept company over the years.“Sometimes,” she admitted softly.

Lucinda nodded.Like she understood. Maybe she did.

Below them, nobody seemed to notice the exchange. The living carried on talking…Laughing while gathering coats and finishing coffees or teas .

The Gardens humming along exactly as it always had.

“I’m glad you came down tonight.”Lucinda said.

Violet blinked.“What?”

Lucinda smiled.“You looked like you were having fun.”

A laugh escaped Violet.

Fun…Nobody had accused her of that in years…

Before she could think of a response, Lucinda started toward the door. Then paused.Looked back and a mischievous sparkle appeared in her eyes.

“Do you like roses?”

Violet narrowed her eyes immediately.“Why?”

“That wasn’t an answer.”

“Neither was that.”Lucinda’s smile widened.

“Good.”

And just like that, she stepped outside into the lantern-lit courtyard.

Leaving Violet staring after her…Smiling despite herself. And wondering why a simple question about roses suddenly felt like the beginning of trouble.🌹✨

🪄The Gardens✨️ Part 2 ☕️Coffee, Pie & Surprise!! Part 3💖

The Gardens Part 2

☕ Coffee, Pie & Surprise

Part Three: Getting To Know You….

As the evening settled in, the café gradually shifted.

The excitement was still there. The questions were still flying….But now the conversations began splintering into smaller groups.

Stories drifted from table to table. Coffee cups were refilled.

Someone put a record on in the corner.

The warm scratch of old vinyl filled the room.

For the first time since emerging from the fountain, Lucinda Fox wasn’t answering questions….She was asking them.Which, surprisingly, seemed to unnerve people even more.

“So how long have you worked here?” she asked Mateo.“Five years.”

“And nobody’s put your picture on a pie tin yet?”

Mateo blinked.

“What?”

“You seem beloved.”Eloise pointed her fork dramatically.“He’s rightfully beloved.”

Mateo bowed his head.

“Thank you, Eloise.”

“Your blueberry pie got me through a breakup.”

“Again?”Iris asked.

“Several times.”

Nobody questioned it.

Meanwhile Maren sat curled into her seat beside Theo. The conversation around them hummed pleasantly.Sometimes they joined in.Sometimes they simply listened. The closeness between them felt different tonight.

Easier.

Lighter.

The fountain incident had stripped away some of the awkwardness.

Maybe surviving supernatural nonsense together had accelerated things.

“You doing okay?”Theo asked quietly.

Maren looked over.“I think so.”

“That’s not very convincing.”

She smiled.

“I met a ghost.”

“Fair.”

“A very glamorous ghost.”

“The most dangerous kind….”Their eyes met…..Both laughed.

Across the room, Lucinda noticed them.Of course she did.

She leaned toward Iris.“They’re adorable.”Iris glanced over.“Oh thank goodness.”“What?”“I thought it was just me.”“No.”Lucinda smiled.“They’re absolutely adorable.”Theo immediately looked suspicious.“What are you talking about?”“Nothing.”“It’s never nothing.”This only made the women laugh harder.

Poor Theo.

A little while later most of the residents drifted toward the larger community table.

All except Ravi.

He remained in his corner booth….Watching Lucinda.

Lucinda eventually sighed.

“Oh, all right.”

“What?”Ravi asked.

“Come interrogate me.”

The entire room went quiet.

Ravi blinked.

“What?”

“Clearly you’ve been dying to!!.”

Theo nearly choked on his coffee.

Iris hid a smile.

Ravi reluctantly carried his mug over.“You make me nervous.”

“That’s because you’re sensible.”

“I don’t trust you.”

“That’s healthy.”

The room erupted into laughter.

“You came out of a magical fountain.”

“So I’ve been told.”

“Multiple times.”

“An exhausting number of times.”

“You don’t know where you came from.”

“No.”

“You don’t know why you’re here.”

“No.”

“You remember almost nothing.”

“No.”

Ravi narrowed his eyes.“That should concern you.”

Lucinda thought about it.

Really thought about it.

Then she shrugged.“It does.”

The laughter faded. For the first time all evening, Lucinda seemed sincere.“It scares me, actually.”

The room grew quiet.

Lucinda looked down at her hands. At the gold rings she still wore.

“I know I was someone.”

Nobody interrupted.

“I know I loved things.”She smiled faintly.

“Coffee apparently.”That earned a few chuckles.

“And roses.”

“And music.”

Theo looked up.“Music?”

Lucinda nodded“I can’t explain it.”She tapped a finger lightly against her coffee mug.“But I remember hearing it.

”The room softened.

“Maybe you’ll remember more with some time.”Theo said.

Lucinda looked at him…..Really looked at him for the first time.“You’re optimistic.”

“Sometimes.”

“You should keep that.”

Theo smiled.“I’ll do my best.”

Something passed across Lucinda’s face then….Recognition.

Not of Theo.Of something deeper.

Something she couldn’t quite name.

“You love somebody very much.”

The room went still again.Theo’s expression softened instantly.“Yeah.”

Maren felt a small ache in her chest. Not jealousy.Just understanding.

Lucinda glanced toward the ceiling.

Toward the place Violet sat hidden among the beams.“You’re talking about Violet.”Theo nodded.“My sister.”Lucinda smiled.

A warm one.

Not teasing.Not playful.Just kind.“She must’ve been wonderful.”Theo laughed softly.“She is.”Not was…Is.

Lucinda noticed.

So did Maren.

As did everyone else. And somewhere above them, Violet closed her eyes.

Smiling through tears nobody could see.

For a long moment she simply listened.Listened to her brother.

Listened to the laughter below.

Listened to the café alive with conversation.

Then she looked at Lucinda. And found Lucinda already looking back. Not with curiosity. Not with flirtation ….With understanding.

And somehow that felt even more dangerous.🌹☕❤️👻

🪄The Gardens✨️ Part 2 ☕️Coffee, Pie & Surprise!! Part 2💖

The Gardens Part 2 of

Coffee, Pie & Surprise!!

Part 2 : The Greenhouse Café.

The Greenhouse Café looked even cozier than usual. Warm golden light spilled from the windows. Plants climbed bookshelves and hung from ceiling hooks. Small candles flickered inside mismatched glass jars, casting soft shadows across the walls.

The smell of cinnamon, coffee, and fresh pie wrapped around the room like a blanket.

For the first time all evening, Maren relaxed.

The café was becoming her favorite place in The Gardens. Not because of the coffee….Though the coffee certainly helped. It was the feeling. The sense that no one had to earn a seat at the table here.

Lonely people wandered in and somehow left with new friends.Broken hearts arrived and found conversation.

Even the ghosts seemed welcome….Especially ghosts , now apparently.

Mateo was already behind the counter.

“I don’t care what just happened at the fountain,” he announced. He pointed toward the pastry case.“Everybody’s eating!”

Nobody argued.

“I’ve got apple pie.”

A plate appeared.

“Pumpkin pie.”

Another plate.

“Pecan pie.”

Yet another.“

And because we almost experienced supernatural doom, everybody gets whipped cream!!”

A delighted smile spread across Lucinda’s face.

“Finally…” She placed a dramatic hand against her chest.“A civilized man!!”

Mateo grinned.

“I’m Mateo.”

“Lucinda Fox.”

She studied the pie selection.

“I suspect we’re going to get along beautifully.”

Within minutes every table was occupied. Extra chairs appeared from nowhere.Residents squeezed together.Stories overlapped.Coffee steamed. Laughter bounced off the greenhouse windows.

Maren ended up sitting beside Theo again…She wasn’t sure how. Nobody had assigned seats. It had simply happened. Their shoulders brushed occasionally.Neither moved.Neither seemed particularly interested in moving.

At the center of it all sat Lucinda.Of course she did.Did anyone really expect otherwise?

A woman didn’t emerge from a magical fountain in a ruby dress and then quietly disappears into the background.

Lucinda seemed to attract attention the way lanterns attracted moths.

Not intentionally. She simply existed at a volume the rest of the universe felt obligated to acknowledge.

Mateo placed a steaming mug in front of her.“House blend.”Lucinda wrapped both hands around it.Then went strangely quiet. The conversations around the room continued for another few moments before people gradually noticed..She wasn’t moving.

She was staring at the coffee.“Lucinda?”Iris asked gently. The ghost blinked. Looked down. Then back up.“I can smell it.”The room fell silent.“What?” Theo asked.

Lucinda laughed softly.A little disbelieving.“I can actually smell it.”Slowly she lifted the mug.As though it might disappear. As though she didn’t entirely trust it.She took a sip.And froze. The silence deepened.Lucinda lowered the cup.Very carefully.“Oh.”Mateo immediately looked concerned.

“What?”

Lucinda stared down into the coffee.“I can taste it.”

Nobody spoke.

“You can?” Eloise whispered.

Lucinda nodded.Still looking slightly stunned.“It’s been so long.”

The room softened.Just a little. For a brief moment all the glamour slipped away. The sharp wit.The dramatic entrances. The effortless confidence. And beneath it Maren caught a glimpse of something else.Someone who had missed ordinary things…Someone who had missed small pleasures.Someone who maybe hadn’t expected to experience them again.

Lucinda took another sip.“Oh, that’s dangerous.”The entire room burst into laughter.

“Why dangerous?” Mateo asked.

“Because now I want another one.”

“You’ve had two sips.”

“Don’t judge me.”

Mateo laughed.

“I like her.”

“I like you too.”Lucinda pointed toward the pie display.

“And we’re about to become even closer.”

The laughter returned immediately.

Bigger this time.

Warmer.

Maren found herself laughing too.Really laughing. Not the polite kind. Not the kind she’d forced through awkward dinners and painful endings. The real kind. The kind that made her cheeks ache afterward. She hadn’t realized how much she’d missed it.

Across the room, Theo noticed. And smiled..Maren felt her heart stumble unexpectedly.

She looked away. Then spent the next thirty seconds wondering why she’d looked away.

Above them, perched along one of the greenhouse beams, Violet watched everything unfold.

She watched Iris interrogate Lucinda.

She watched Eloise nearly drop her glasses twice.

She watched Mateo become increasingly protective of his newest customer. And she watched Lucinda laugh. Bright and easy. Like she’d always belonged here. Like she’d somehow missed The Gardens as much as it had missed her.

For reasons she couldn’t explain, that made Violet smile. And across the room, Lucinda looked up…Directly at her.For a heartbeat, the noise of the café seemed to disappear. Then Lucinda smiled. Not the dazzling smile she gave everyone else.A smaller one.Warmer.Almost private.Violet felt something flutter unexpectedly in the place where her heart used to be.And for the first time in seventeen years…The future suddenly seemed a little more interesting.🌹☕❤️👻

🪄The Gardens✨️ Part 2 ☕️Coffee, Pie & Surprise!! Part 1💖

☕ Coffee, Pie, and a Surprise

Part 1:

The Woman in the Fountain

The fountain glowed red for another few seconds.

Nobody moved.

Nobody spoke.

Even the wind seemed to pause.

Maren stood frozen beside Theo, her heart still racing from whatever had just happened.

One second they had been inches apart. Next second she had been thinking about kissing him. Then the fountain had exploded.

Not exactly ideal timing.

Beside her, Theo hadn’t let go of her hand. Neither of them mentioned it.

The water churned beneath the lantern light, glowing red from somewhere deep below.

Zadie stared at it.

Iris stared at it.

Ravi looked ready to fight it.

The Mirror Boy stared from a puddle near the fountain’s edge with eyes wider than Maren had ever seen.“Oh no,” he whispered.

That frightened Maren far more than the fountain. The Mirror Boy was usually strange.Tonight he seemed worried.Very worried.

The courtyard grew quiet.

Everyone waited.

And waited.

And waited…..

Finally Ravi sighed.“Well?”

Nothing happened.

A few leaves drifted across the brick path.

The fountain bub

Then a woman’s voice floated up from the water.

“Oh honestly.”

Everyone jumped.The voice sighed dramatically.

“They could’ve at least given me a staircase.”

The water rippled. A hand appeared. Long fingers covered in gold rings. Then dark curls. Then two perfectly arched eyebrows.

And slowly, as though emerging from the world’s most luxurious bath, a woman climbed out of the fountain.

She wasn’t wet. Not even a little.

Maren immediately noticed this because absolutely everything else was.The grass was soaked.

The lanterns were dripping.Theo’s curls were damp.Iris’s shawl looked like it had survived a hurricane.

Meanwhile this woman looked ready for a magazine cover.

She stepped onto the fountain ledge.

A ruby-colored dress flowed around her like liquid velvet. Black curls tumbled over one shoulder.Gold bracelets glimmered at her wrists.

She looked around slowly.

Taking everything in.

The ivy-covered buildings.The lanterns.The café.The residents.The ghosts.

Then she smiled.

A beautiful smile. Dangerous, probably…..But beautiful.

“Well.”

Her eyes sparkled.

“This is significantly prettier than I expected.”

Silence.

The woman blinked.

“Oh good.”

She relaxed immediately.

“You can all see me?”

Nobody answered.

Ravi cleared his throat.

“Who are you?”

The woman looked offended.

“Have we even had coffee yet?”

Mateo stepped forward from the crowd.

“I can make coffee.”

The woman pointed at him.

“I like him.”

Mateo grinned.

“I like you too.”

“Excellent!!”

Maren laughed. She couldn’t help it.The woman immediately turned toward her.

“There she is.”

“What?”

“The only person here who seems happy to see me.

”A smile tugged at Maren’s lips making it even bigger.

“I’m still deciding.”

“Fair.”

The woman hopped down from the fountain.

Elegant.

Effortless.

Entirely too graceful for someone who had just climbed out of a supernatural water feature.

“I’m Lucinda.”She paused.“Lucinda Fox.”The name seemed to fit her perfectly.

Like she’d selected it herself. Probably while drinking champagne some late night.

Theo finally spoke.

“Do you know what’s happening?”

Lucinda looked around.

“The year first.”

“The year?”

“Very important.”

Eloise stepped forward.

“It’s 2026.”Lucinda froze.“Oh dear.”

The courtyard immediately erupted.

“What?”

“What happened?”

“How long have you been gone?”

“Are you a ghost?”

“Where did you come from?”

“What was in the fountain?”

Lucinda raised both hands.

“My goodness.”She laughed.“You people ask far too many questions.”

“And you answer none of them,” Ravi muttered.

“I answer the fun ones.”

“Are you a ghost?”Iris asked.

Lucinda smiled.“Oh, definitely.”

At that exact moment she looked up. Past everyone. Past the lanterns.Past the rooftop of the Greenhouse Café.And saw Violet. The cellist ghost sat quietly on the edge of the roof. Watching.Curious.Gentle.A little cautious. Like someone peeking through a doorway before deciding whether to enter.Violet expected Lucinda to look away.

Most people did.

Even the other ghosts.

Instead Lucinda smiled directly at her.As if she had known she was there all along. For one strange second it felt like they were the only two people in the courtyard.

Then Lucinda tilted her head.

A little smile touching her lips.

“Well hello there.”

Violet blinked. And for the first time in seventeen years…This ghost got butterflies.

Down below, nobody noticed.Except maybe Eloise Hart.

Eloise noticed everything.

She glanced from Violet to Lucinda and smiled quietly to herself.

“Oh,” she whispered.“Now that’s interesting.”🌹✨❤️👻

✨ Vedic vs. Tropical (and More!): Why Different Astrology Systems Exist — and How They Can All Be True!!✨️

Astrology isn’t one single language…. It’s a family of ancient systems, each shaped by culture, geography, and spiritual philosophy. When a big event like a Lunar Eclipse hits, people often notice that different astrologers give different zodiac placements or interpretations. And that can feel confusing… unless you understand why these systems diverge and how they beautifully complement each other!!

This guide breaks down the major astrological traditions- Tropical, Vedic (Sidereal), Hellenistic, Chinese, and Mayan — and explains how they can all be “right” depending on the lens you’re using. Think of it like different spiritual dialects describing the same sky.

🌞 Tropical Astrology (Western) — The Astrology of Seasons & Psychology

What it’s based on: The relationship between Earth and the Sun — especially the equinoxes and solstices.

Key idea: Tropical astrology is seasonal, not star‑based. Aries always begins at the Spring Equinox, no matter where the constellations drift.

What it’s best for: – Personality – Emotional patterns – Inner growth – Modern psychological insight

Why it differs from Vedic: Because it’s tied to Earth’s seasons, not the shifting constellations. It’s a symbolic system…Symbolism is powerful.

🌟 Vedic Astrology (Jyotish / Sidereal) — The Astrology of Stars & Karma

What it’s based on: The actual astronomical constellations in the sky.

Key idea: Vedic astrology uses the sidereal zodiac, which accounts for the Earth’s axial precession (the slow “wobble” that shifts the sky over thousands of years).

What it’s best for: – Life path – Dharma (purpose) – Karmic cycles – Predictive timing (dashas) – Spiritual evolution

Why it sometimes “disagrees” with Tropical: Because the constellations have shifted over 2,000 years, Vedic placements often fall one sign earlier than Tropical. This isn’t a mistake …. it’s a different measurement system.😉

🔮 Hellenistic Astrology — The Ancient Root of Western Astrology

What it’s based on: The original Greek system from 2,000+ years ago.

Key idea: Uses the Tropical zodiac, but with ancient techniques like whole‑sign houses, lots, and fate‑based timing.

What it’s best for: – Ancient techniques – Predictive timing – Traditional rulerships – Fate vs. free will exploration

Why it matters: It shows that even within “Western astrology,” there are multiple valid approaches.

🐉 Chinese Astrology — The Astrology of Cycles & Elements

What it’s based on: Lunar years, 12 animals, and the 5 elements (Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, Water).Key idea: Your sign is determined by your birth year, not your month.

What it’s best for: – Personality archetypes – Compatibility – Life cycles – Elemental balance

Why it’s different: It’s a completely separate cosmology — not wrong, just a different cultural lens.

🌀 Mayan Astrology — The Astrology of Galactic Energy

What it’s based on: The Tzolk’in calendar and cosmic cycles.Key idea: Your “day sign” describes your soul’s mission and energetic imprint.

What it’s best for: – Spiritual identity – Soul purpose – Cosmic cycles Why it’s unique: It’s not zodiac‑based at all — it’s a sacred calendar system.

🌈 So… How Can All These Systems Be Correct?

Because astrology isn’t a single objective science …. It’s a symbolic language!! Different cultures created different maps to understand the same sky.

Think of it like:

Tarot vs. Oracle cards

English vs. Spanish

Yoga vs. Tai Chi

Different tools. Different traditions. Same human desire to understand ourselves and the universe.

Each system answers a different question:

Tropical: Who am I becoming?

Vedic: What karmic path am I walking?

Hellenistic: What ancient patterns shape my fate?

Chinese: What energetic cycles influence my life?

Mayan: What is my soul’s cosmic signature?

None of these invalidate the others ..They illuminate different layers of the same soul.

🌕 Why This Matters During Eclipse Season

Eclipses are powerful in every system ..But, each tradition interprets them differently:

– Tropical focuses on psychological shifts

– Vedic focuses on karmic turning points

– Hellenistic focuses on fated events If someone says “the eclipse is in Leo” and someone else says “it’s in Virgo” they’re not contradicting each other… Both can be true depending on the lens.

💬 Final Thoughts: Astrology Is a Multiverse, Not a Monolith.

Astrology is not about proving one system “right.” It’s about finding the system that speaks to your spirit. Some people resonate with the psychological depth of Tropical. Some feel the karmic precision of Vedic. Some blend multiple systems like a spiritual polyglot. There is no wrong way to connect with the cosmos.✨ Your chart is a prism — each system reveals a different color of your soul. ✨

🏘The Gardens: A Ghost Story👻

The Last Box🌙

Maren Elwood had never liked the sound of packing tape. It was too final. Too loud. Like a door slamming shut on something that had already faded. She knelt on the hardwood floor of her once shared bedroom, surrounded by half-filled boxes and the ghosts of “almosts”. The morning light filtered through gauzy curtains, casting soft shadows on the walls—walls that had once held concert posters, love notes, and a calendar she’d stopped updating six months ago.The breakup hadn’t been dramatic. No shouting. No betrayal. Just a slow erosion of hope, like water wearing down stone. She’d loved him. Or maybe she’d loved the idea of him—the way he made her feel safe, predictable, like she didn’t have to risk anything. But safety had turned into silence. And silence had turned into loneliness. The kind that curled around her ribs and whispered, This is all there is.Until last week, when she’d signed the lease at The Gardens.A townhouse complex with ivy-covered paths and a reputation for strange happenings. Her mother had called it “eccentric.” Her best friend had called it “a mistake.” But Maren had felt something when she walked past the fountain court—a pull, like music she couldn’t quite hear. Now, she was folding sweaters she hadn’t worn in a year. She paused at a faded blue one—his favorite. She held it to her chest, then placed it gently in the donation pile. The house was quiet. He was at work. And she was here, alone, choosing herself for the first time in years. She taped the last box shut.In the corner of the room, her guitar leaned against the wall. She hadn’t played since the breakup. Not really. Just a few tentative notes, like testing the temperature of grief. She picked it up now, ran her fingers along the strings. It hummed beneath her touch, like it remembered her.Outside, a car horn blared. The moving van.She took one last look around. The room felt smaller now. Like it had already let her go.She whispered a quiet goodbye to the girl who had waited too long. Then she walked out the door, guitar in handing her new life at The Gardens.

🌿 The Arrival

The Gardens didn’t look like much from the street.Just a row of townhouses with ivy climbing the brick, a wrought-iron gate that creaked when it opened, and a mailbox alcove shaped like a chapel. But as Maren stepped through the gate, guitar case slung over her shoulder, the air changed. It smelled like rosemary and rain. Like something old and waiting. Her unit was tucked in the northeast corner, past the fountain court where water trickled over moss-covered stone. She paused there, watching a child chase something invisible through the mist. A woman nearby—elderly, silver-haired—offered the child a cookie and whispered, “Tell Nellie I said hello.”Maren blinked. The child nodded solemnly and ran off.She kept walking. At the Greenhouse Café, a man with dark curls and a sun-warmed voice was tuning a guitar on the patio. He looked up as she passed, eyes catching hers like a chord struck clean.“You moving in?” he asked. She nodded. “Unit 9.”“Welcome to the madness,” he said, smiling. “I’m Theo.”She smiled back, but didn’t stop. Not yet.Past the café, two landscapers—twins, she guessed—were planting marigolds in mirrored spirals. One of them looked up and said, “You’ll want lavender by your windows. Keeps the dreams gentle.”Maren murmured a thank you, unsure if it was advice or prophecy. At her door, she found a note tucked into the frame. Welcome, Maren. The walls remember music. Play often. No signature. She thought this was an odd but needed invitation.Inside, the unit was sunlit and strange. The floors creaked in familiar rhythms. The air felt watched, but not unkind. She set down her guitar case, opened the windows, and let the October breeze in. It carried the scent of cinnamon and something older—like memory. She didn’t cry. She didn’t unpack. She sat on the floor, pulled out her guitar, and played the first song she’d written since the breakup.Outside, someone paused beneath her window. Theo. Listening. And somewhere in the walls, a ghost hummed along.

🌙 The First Night

The sun dipped low behind the greenhouse roof, casting golden light across the courtyard. Maren stood at her window, watching the shadows stretch like long fingers across the ivy. Her guitar rested beside her on the windowsill, still humming with the last notes she’d played. She hadn’t unpacked much. Just her toothbrush, a mug, and the quilt her grandmother made—the one with stitched constellations and a frayed edge shaped like a crescent moon. The unit felt alive. Not in a haunted way. More like it was listening. She lit a candle. Not for ambiance, but instinct. The flame flickered once, then steadied.Outside, someone knocked gently on her door.Maren opened it to find a woman with wild curls and dirt-smudged hands holding a bundle of lavender and rosemary.“I’m Iris,” she said. “Groundskeeper, herbalist, occasional dream interpreter. Thought you might need this.”Maren took the bundle. “Thank you.”“Sleep with it near your head,” Iris said. “The walls here remember things. It helps to offer them something gentle.”Before Maren could ask what that meant, Iris was already halfway down the path, humming a tune that sounded like soft falling rain.Later, as twilight settled in, Maren wandered toward the fountain court. The water glowed faintly, lit from beneath by something not quite electric. A man stood nearby, scribbling in a notebook with a flashlight tucked under his arm.“Ravi,” he said without looking up. “Night security. If you hear footsteps where there shouldn’t be any, let me know. Also, don’t feed the ghosts. They get clingy.”Maren blinked. “I wasn’t planning to.”He looked up then, eyes sharp but kind. “You will. Everyone does eventually.”She walked back slowly, passing the Greenhouse Café. Theo was locking up, guitar slung across his back. He saw her and paused.“Did you write that song?” he asked. She nodded.“It was good,” he said. “Sad, but good.”“I’m still figuring it out.”He smiled. “Aren’t we all.”She blushed and walked on.Back in her unit, Maren curled up on the couch with the quilt and the herb bundle. The candle had burned low, casting soft shadows on the ceiling. She closed her eyes. And dreamed.Of a boy in a mirror, tracing her name in fog. Of a woman singing lullabies through the vents. Of a red thread tied to her wrist, tugging gently toward the café.She woke at midnight to find a note on her windowsill. Play again. The walls are listening. She didn’t scream. She didn’t run. She picked up her guitar and played.Eerily ok with commands out of nowhere. At the very least it offered distraction from the breakup.Outside, the wind stirred the ivy. Inside, the ghosts leaned closer. And somewhere in the courtyard, Theo couldn’t sleep and all he could think about was the new tenant in unit 9 .

🌞 Rosemary and Revelations

Maren woke to birdsong and the scent of lavender. The herb bundle Iris had given her lay beside her pillow, slightly wilted but still fragrant. Her guitar leaned against the wall, strings humming faintly in the morning light. She padded barefoot to the kitchen, where the cabinets creaked like they were stretching after a long sleep. A note had been slipped under her door.Breakfast at the Greenhouse Café. First cup’s on me. -Theo

She smiled, despite herself.

☕ The Greenhouse Café

The café was sun-drenched and full of murmurs. Theo stood behind the counter, sleeves rolled up, pouring coffee like it was a ritual.“You came,” he said.“You bribed me,” she replied. He grinned. “Fair.”He poured her coffee in the same ritualistic way as the others but handed it to Maren with a slow and hauntingly sexy gaze. She took her coffee and sat near the window, watching the courtyard come alive. Mateo, the chef, was arguing with a squirrel. Zadie Quinn was sketching something in her notebook, muttering about “temporal overlaps.” And the twins—Lark and Finch—were planting something that looked suspiciously like moonflowers.Theo slid into the seat across from her. “Sleep okay?”“I dreamed of mirrors and music,” she said. “And someone humming.”He nodded slowly. “That happens here.”Before she could ask what he meant, Iris appeared, carrying a tray of rosemary scones and a teapot shaped like a fox.“Mind if I join?” Iris asked.“Please,” Maren said. They ate in companionable silence until Iris poured tea and said, “You should know about Violet.”Theo stiffened.Maren looked between them. “Who’s Violet?”Iris stirred her tea. “Theo’s sister. She lived here. Died here. The fountain court.”Theo stood abruptly. “I’ll be in the kitchen.”Maren watched him go, then turned to Iris. “What happened?”“She drowned,” Iris said softly. “But not in water. In grief.”Maren’s breath caught.“She was a cellist,” Iris continued. “Brilliant. Sensitive. She and Theo used to play duets in the courtyard. But something broke in her—something no one saw until it was too late.”“Does she… still linger?”Iris nodded. “She’s gentle, mostly. Protective. But she doesn’t like silence. If you stop playing, she’ll remind you.”Maren thought of the note on her windowsill. Play again. The walls are listening.“She likes you,” Iris said. “That’s rare.”Maren looked toward the kitchen, where Theo was slicing strawberries with unnecessary precision. Longing to hug this handsome stranger whom she barely knows.“Does he talk about her?”“Only in music,” Iris said. “And only when he thinks no one’s listening.”

🌿 Later That Morning

Maren wandered to the mail alcove. A note fluttered from one of the cubbies.Unit 9: The Mirror Boy says you’re not done grieving. He’s right. She is not done grieving. Strange how all these feelings keep coming in for Theo. Just a random hot guy she just met that happens to be her neighbor now.She folded it carefully and tucked it into her pocket. Trying to handle her inside turmoil in the best way she can.As she walked back to her unit, she passed Eloise Hart, who was feeding birds and ghosts with equal tenderness.“Play something happy today,” Eloise said. “Violet’s been weeping in the vents.” Maren paused. “I don’t know if I can.”Eloise smiled. “Then play something true. That’s all she ever wanted, something pure and true.

🎶 The Song That Stirred the Walls

Maren sat cross-legged on the floor, guitar in her lap, candle flickering beside her. The unit was quiet, but not empty. She could feel it—the hush before a note, the breath before a confession. She strummed once. Then again. And then she sang .It wasn’t polished. It wasn’t pretty. But it was true.A song about loving someone who never saw her clearly. About shrinking to fit a life that didn’t want her whole. About leaving, not because she stopped loving—but because she finally started. The walls pulsed. The air shimmered. And somewhere in the vents, Violet Virelli wept. Not out of sorrow. Out of recognition. She drifted through the pipes, through the ivy, through the candle smoke, until she hovered just above Maren’s shoulder, invisible but radiant.“She’s perfect,” Violet whispered to no one. “She’s exactly what Theo needs.”

🌿 The Matchmaking Begins

The next morning, Maren opened her door to find a single red thread tied to her doorknob. No note. Just a gentle tug toward the courtyard. She followed it.Theo was there, tuning his guitar beneath the willow tree.“Did you leave this?” she asked, holding up the thread. He blinked. “No. But I’ve been thinking about you.”She sat beside him. “I wrote something last night.”“Play it?”She did. And halfway through, he joined in—soft harmony, like sunlight on water. When they finished, the wind rustled the leaves. And Violet danced. She twirled through the fountain mist, spun across the cobblestones, and left a trail of petals in her wake. No one saw her. But Eloise Hart smiled knowingly and whispered, “She’s matchmaking again.”

🎻 Duet in the Courtyard

Later that week, Iris invited Maren and Theo to play at the courtyard gathering. “The ghosts like music,” she said. “And so do the neighbors.”They played a duet—Theo on guitar, Maren on vocals. The song was about second chances, and gardens that bloom after frost. As they played, the fountain glowed faintly. The Mirror Boy appeared in a puddle, clapping silently. And Violet danced again—this time with joy so bright, the ivy bloomed early. After the song, Theo looked at Maren and said, “You make the ghosts happy.”She smiled. “You make me brave.”Violet, watching from the rooftop, whispered, “Now kiss, you fools.”But they didn’t. Not yet.She had time. She was a ghost, after all.

🌒 The Thread Tightens

The courtyard was lit with lanterns strung between the trees, swaying like fireflies caught in a slow dance. Residents gathered for the monthly Moonlight Ritual—an old tradition revived by Iris and Zadie, meant to honor the ghosts and the living alike.Maren stood near the fountain, guitar in hand, heart thudding. Theo approached, cello slung across his back.“You ready?” he asked.“No,” she said. “But I will be.”They played together—her voice raw and true, his cello weaving through the melody like a memory returning home. The crowd fell silent. Even the ghosts leaned in.Violet danced in the mist, radiant and wild. She spun past Eloise, who clapped softly. She twirled around Ravi, who muttered, “She’s getting bold.”And then—just as the final note rang out—Maren turned to Theo.“I think I’m starting to feel again,” she whispered.Theo looked at her, eyes wide. “Me too.”They leaned in—close enough to kiss. But before their lips met, the fountain behind them erupted. Water surged, glowing red. The lanterns flickered. The Mirror Boy appeared in every reflective surface, eyes wide with warning.Zadie gasped. “That’s not Violet.”Iris dropped her tea. “The Unnamed One is waking.”

Maren stepped back, heart pounding. Theo reached for her hand. And somewhere deep beneath The Gardens, a door creaked open……

🌬Cinnamon at the Threshold: Why Blowing Cinnamon Through Your Door Is More Than Just Folklore📖

🍂Step aside, sage bundles and salt circles—there’s a new ritual sweeping through doorways, and it smells like warm cookies and ancient magic.

Blowing cinnamon through your front door isn’t just a TikTok trend or a cozy autumn aesthetic—it’s a ritual steeped in centuries of symbolism, cross-cultural beliefs, and a whole lot of intention-setting.

🌬️ What Is the Cinnamon-Blowing Ritual?

On the first day of the month—or any moment of new beginnings—people around the world stand at their front doors, palm full of ground cinnamon, and blow it inward. The goal? To invite prosperity, abundance, and positive energy into the home. It’s simple, sensory, and deeply symbolic.“When this cinnamon blows, abundance will come to stay.”

🧭 Cultural Roots & Mythic Threads

Let’s trace the spice trail:

Ancient Egypt & the Silk Road:

Cinnamon was once more valuable than gold. Its rarity made it a symbol of wealth, sacred offerings, and divine favor.

Medieval Europe: Used in alchemical practices, cinnamon represented fire—transformation, purification, and passion.

Latin American & Caribbean Traditions: Cinnamon is often used in spiritual cleansings and prosperity spells, especially around New Year’s or home blessings.

Modern Metaphysical Practices: Practitioners use cinnamon to “sweep in” abundance, often pairing it with affirmations, visualizations, or moon rituals.

🔮 Why Cinnamon?

Cinnamon isn’t just a pantry staple—it’s a powerhouse of symbolic energy:

🔥 Fire Element Transformation, passion, purification

🌾 Earthy Aroma Grounding, warmth, comfort

💰 Historical Value Wealth, prosperity, sacred exchange

🌀 Energetic Magnetism

Attracts abundance and positive energy

🪄 How to Perform the Ritual

Here’s a simple, sensory-rich version of the ritual:

1. Choose Your Moment: First of the month, new job, new home, or any fresh start.

2. Prepare Your Cinnamon: A pinch to a tablespoon of ground cinnamon in your palm.

3. Set Your Intention: Visualize abundance flowing into your life. Speak affirmations aloud.

4. Blow Through the Doorway: Stand outside, facing inward, and blow the cinnamon across the threshold.

5. Let It Sit: Leave the cinnamon on the floor for at least 24 hours (unless you have pets—then clean it up safely!).

🍁 Final Thought:

Where Intention Meets Tradition

In a world that often rushes past the quiet magic of beginnings, blowing cinnamon through your doorway is a gentle rebellion—a moment to pause, breathe, and invite in what you truly desire. Whether you see it as folklore, energy work, or simply a sensory ritual, this act reminds us that our homes are sacred spaces, and our intentions have power. So the next time you stand at your threshold, cinnamon in hand, know that you’re not just performing a ritual—you’re joining a lineage of dreamers, healers, and myth-makers who believe that abundance begins with a breath.> May your doorway be a portal of warmth, and your intentions rise like spice on the wind. 🍂🪄🔥❤️

👁Third Eye: How to Activate Your Pineal Portal Without Losing Your Mind (or Your Magnesium)

🌌The pineal gland ,often called the seat of the soul, is a pea-sized powerhouse nestled deep in your brain, like a crystalline oracle sitting behind your forehead. It’s been whispered about in spiritual circles, sung about in esoteric rap battles, and poked at in metaphysical textbooks for centuries. But let’s get real: opening your third eye isn’t just about chanting and hoping for interdimensional Wi-Fi. It’s about integrating cosmic clarity while staying physically vibrant, emotionally stable, and not ghosting your nervous system.

👁️ 8 Deep & Delicious Ways to Activate Your Third Eye

✨ 1. Sunrise/Sunset Gazing (safely!) Low-angle sunlight stimulates your retina and pineal gland, reinforcing your melatonin cycles and boosting intuitive clarity. 🌞 Never stare into high sun—catch the golden hour instead.

🎧 2. Binaural Beats – Especially 963 Hz Slip on headphones and vibe to frequencies that harmonize your brain hemispheres. The 963 Hz frequency is known for enhancing divine connection and spiritual consciousness. 🧠🔊

🔮 3. Crystal Therapy Crystals like amethyst, fluorite, and lapis lazuli carry energetic properties that activate intuitive insight. Meditate with one on your forehead or surround your meditation space. Cleanse them often with moonlight or salt. 🌕

💨 4. Pranayama Breathwork Alternate nostril breathing clears energy channels and balances the brain. This technique has direct resonance with the pineal area, helping clear energetic static. 💫 Just 10 minutes a day works wonders.

📓 5. Dream Journaling

Your subconscious speaks in symbols. Documenting dreams builds symbolic fluency and strengthens third eye dialogue. You’ll soon distinguish visions from indigestion. 😉

🔲 6. Sacred Geometry Visualization Imagine yourself inside a Merkaba or Flower of Life during meditation. These shapes stimulate pattern recognition and pineal activation through vibrational architecture. ✨📐

🛌 7. Lucid Dreaming Techniques Try WBTB (Wake Back to Bed) or MILD to wake within your dreams. Your third eye gets extra training when you’re aware in dreamspace. Add reality checks and intentions before bed. 🕯️💭

🕉️ 8. Mantras and Chanting Mantras like “Aum” resonate deeply through your body, especially the third eye center. Use consistent vocal vibration and mudras (hand gestures) for added activation. Your voice is literal alchemy! 🎤✨

🌿 8 Essential Practices to Stay Healthy While Awakening

🧂 1. Mineral Magic – Magnesium & Iodine These help regulate the pineal and nervous system. Load up on sea veggies, pumpkin seeds, and magnesium-rich baths to keep your sparkle grounded. 🛁🌊

🚫 2. Say Bye to Fluoride Fluoride can calcify the pineal gland. Switch to fluoride-free toothpaste and filter your drinking water with systems that remove fluoride like reverse osmosis. 🦷🚿

🥕 3. Nourish with Whole Foods Root veggies like beets and carrots, omega-3s like walnuts and chia, plus fermented foods = gut-brain-halo harmony. 🍠🌰 Keep your vessel clean so spirit can flow.

💧 4. Hydration with Intention Drink filtered water—preferably structured or infused with herbs or affirmations. Hydration is literal light transmission. Talk to your water. It listens. 💦🔮

🧘‍♀️ 5. Move Your Magic Movement—yoga, qigong, dancing in your socks—flushes lymph and clears spiritual congestion. Being a channel doesn’t mean sitting still 24/7. 💃🌬️

🌙 6. Sleep Like a Starseed Protect your melatonin cycles. Avoid screens before bed, dim lights, and create nighttime rituals with intention. Your third eye dreams best when well-rested. 🌠🛏️

🌀 7. Emotional Integration Journaling, therapy, and somatic practices help metabolize visions. Downloads can feel overwhelming—give your emotional body a chance to catch up. 🎭🫁

👯‍♂️ 8. Stay Connected IRL Don’t isolate. Cosmic wisdom shines brightest when shared. Laugh, cry, be awkward, make memes—spirit flows where humanity is embraced. 🤗💬

🔮 Final Transmission: Swipe Right on Your Soul Opening!! The third eye opening is less like flipping a light switch and more like growing a new internal lens. It’s sacred, strange, beautiful—and sometimes messy. But when done mindfully, it expands not just perception, but your ability to love, create, and be here fully. So trust the pineal, respect the body, and don’t forget to stretch!!👍🧚‍♀️✨ Your multidimensional self awaits.

🍭Stroller Kicks and Self-Parenting Flicks

For years, I pushed my stroller up a never-ending hill,
Wheeling through mishaps with a mix of grace and spill.
Tiny me would cry and gripe while I slogged on by,
Never knowing one day I’d call the shots—oh, my!

Then one bright morning, with a wink and a grin,
I decided: “Time to be both the teacher and kin!”
Now I chart my own course with a wink and a nod,
Embracing sovereignty without waiting for anyone’s prod.

Ice cream pops on sunny days now reign supreme,
Unless, of course, broccoli dares to crash the dream—
For my inner voice (the real parental guide) is on call,
Balancing snack decisions so fun and tall.

I hit the park, swing high, and even scrub behind my ears,
Reveling in self-love, laughing off all my past fears.
Each stumble becomes a giggle, every quirky choice a win,
As I nurture that inner child—and let self-parenting begin.

For better or worse, I ride this joyful rollercoaster so unique,
With my own brand of guidance, gentle yet cheekily oblique.
So here’s to the fun of calling your own shots in the race—
A lifelong dance with yourself, full of charm, wit, and lots grace!! 💖🌠

Floral Revelations: A Wandering Through  the Universal Garden

In this  garden of life, we are all splendid blooms—
each petal a playful twist on life’s mysterious tune.
Some flaunt their thorns like badges of fierce delight,
while others waft sweet scents, as if kissed by eternal light.

There are flowers that fade as quickly as a passing breeze,
and others that lend vibrant hues for dyes with utmost ease.
Some are brewed into a warming, soulful cup of tea,
while a few, well, they simply remind you that even weeds can be free.

Yet here’s the grand joke: in this garden, none can claim a crown—
no bloom is better, nor is any flavor meant to bring you down.
We’re all invited to pollinate, to share, to laugh, and simply be,
for in our collective fragrance and folly, we set the world free.

So let’s embrace our quirks, our thorns, and even our occasional stink,
celebrating each vibrant petal—as we dance on the cosmic brink.
In this playful, wondrous garden, let trust and wit prevail,
and together, our blooming differences make one eternally funny tale.

May you wander freely through this garden of being,
laugh at its absurd beauty, and bloom with unrestrained meaning.

A Global Ode to Love and Forgiveness

In the quiet shimmer of dawn,
I stand—a mirror of the divine—
In me, God, the world, and my family
Whisper their timeless secrets of love
And forgiveness, like tender dew
Upon the petals of our shared hearts.

Across the vast tapestry of existence,
We weave our stories in threads of trust and integrity.
Each soul—a vibrant note in the universal hymn—
Forges connections
That bridge ancient divides,
Unfolding into a global village of understanding.

Beneath the celestial glow of brighter beginnings,
We pioneer a haven where wounds are healed
And every hand, extended in solidarity,
Holds the promise of renewal.
Here, forgiveness flows like a gentle river,
Washing away the shadows of yesterday.

In this expanding world of emotional and physical care,
Every heartbeat resonates with unity:
Love as our compass, integrity as our guide,
We bloom into a garden where each living spirit
Finds solace, strength, and the radiant light
Of a future built on compassion.

Let the gentle echoes of our shared journey
Be a beacon for all who wander—
A reminder that through love, forgiveness,
And the courage to trust in our collective dreams,
We can transform our earth
Into a sanctuary of joy and endless possibility.

– With every dawn, I embrace the brightness of a new beginning.
